My name is Maya Schnake and I'm a Chicago-based artist, designer, and actress! Through numerous classes and jobs, I have honed my skills and love to take on new and exciting projects-- from tattoos to album covers and everything in between. My art is inspired by many things, but above most things, it is inspired by nature. I grew up watching a LOT of Animal Planet as a child; this inspired many different endeavors, including an interest in marine biology, zookeeping, and a brief stint in veterinary medicine. None of those stuck as I was always more invested in the beauty of the natural world over the science, and so art became the way I was able to express that interest.
